The outlines of Antheia have been growing in my mind as long as I can remember. She was in my mother’s gentle strength, radiant self-possession, and unconditional love that became the unshakeable foundation of my own identity. In later years, I found traces of her in all women when they felt most fully themselves, most replete and self-satisfied.
I came to recognize the essence of Antheia as feminine power: not an outward pressure to submit…but an inward force, a powerful softness, a gravity bending others into its orbit. At a time when women were presented as either desirable or powerful, I saw them as both, and I wanted to create clothes for women who were both.
Antheia is the personification of my feminine ideal. She manifests from within, an expansion of what is already there, an aspiration, not to be like someone else, but to be more herself. Her power is as inward as her eroticism. She walks in grace, confident that her desires will be fulfilled as willing tribute to her grandeur. Warming herself by the fire of her own sensuality, she projects strength in a manner uniquely her own. Refined yet dynamic, yielding yet driven, flirty yet courageous, always triumphant.
Antheia’s mission is the cultivation of women’s powerful femininity. Every touch, from materials to construction, has been refined to meet the highest standards. Our clothes are the medium through which women may express their inner self and uphold their values. Antheia’s aim is to bring together women of common character, rather than merely common taste, and ignite their essence.
